Michael B. Edwards, CPA

Michael B. Edwards graduated from Queens College in 1964. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. After working at several public accounting firms, he joined with Irving Farkash and Goldwyn J. Kops in 1976 to form the firm of Farkash Kops & Edwards. Farkash Kops & Edwards evolved to become Edwards Topple Saladino & Floch, LLP.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mike has held the position of treasurer of the Burstyner Federal Credit Union in New York, New York, served on the board as treasurer of the Professional and Business Network in Mineola, New York and has volunteered his time serving on the board of the East Birchwood Civic Association in Jericho, New York. He has been a member of the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County, Inc. and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Gerontology Professionals of New York (GPNY).

Mike has authored and presented seminars on a variety of topics including "Income Taxes and Assisted Living." He also is our resident QuickBooks™ expert and enjoys assisting clients in the installation and use of QuickBooks™ software.

Gary Topple, CPA

Gary Topple graduated from Bernard M. Baruch College in 1977. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. After working at several public accounting firms, he was hired in 1980 by the firm of Farkash Kops & Edwards. In 1985, Gary became a partner of the firm. Farkash Kops & Edwards evolved to become Edwards Topple Saladino & Floch, LLP.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Gary has held the positions of Treasurer and President of Kew Gardens Hills Apartment Owners, Inc. (a cooperative apartment corporation) in Flushing, New York. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Temple Or-Elohim (a reform congregation) in Jericho, New York as recording secretary, financial secretary and treasurer . Gary currently volunteers his time as a Nassau County Auxiliary Police officer and is a former director of the Syosset Chamber of Commerce. Gary also has served as treasurer of The Community Programs Center of Long Island, Inc. (an intergenerational day care center providing services to preschool children and the frail elderly).

He has designed and is webmaster of the Edwards Topple Saladino & Floch, LLP web site. He has designed and manages his family web site (www.topple.com) too. He has also authored and presented seminars on a variety of topics including "Tax Implications of Divorce and Separation" and "The Internet" (a "slide show" presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint™). Gary has also appeared on the WLUX radio program "Success Talk" and has been a guest speaker at seminars sponsored by SCORE (Service Core of Retired Executives) in Huntington, New York.

Jason R. Saladino, CPA

Jason R. Saladino graduated from Adelphi University in 1994. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. After working at two other accounting firms, Jason joined the firm as a partner in the Summer of 2004.

Raymond W. Floch, CPA

Raymond W. Floch graduated from Queens College in 1976. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. He started his career at a medium sized firm as a junior accountant and rose to manager. He left that firm with two other CPA's in September 1995 and was a founding partner in a new firm. He remained there for ten years before joining our firm in the Summer of 2005.

He has experience with all types of closely held family businesses ranging in size from a knish stand in Coney Island (in Brooklyn, New York) to large manufacturing and distribution companies. He is also experience in fiduciary accounting (trusts and estates), private foundations and other not-for-profit entities.

Raymond is also an active member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Nassau Chapter Community Affairs and Public Relations Committee. He also currently serves as Vice President of Harbor Hills Residents Association, a community group in Port Washington, New York.

Paul D. Ehrlich, CPA

Paul D. Ehrlich graduated from Queens College in 1965. He obtained his MBA in Taxation from Pace College. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. Before joining Edwards Topple Saladino & Floch, LLP as a principal in August 2000, Paul was a principal at another CPA firm where he served as tax specialist and director of personal financial services.

In addition to his professional responsibilities Paul sits on the Board of Directors of MediaBay, Inc. where he chairs their audit committee. Paul has made numerous speeches before various professional groups. He has had several articles published in a leading national tax magazine.

Alan S. Levine, CPA

Alan S. Levine graduated from Pace University in 1965. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. After working for mid-sized CPA firms in the New York metropolitan area, Alan established his own accounting firm in 1976. His practice includes clients in the construction trades, professionals in the legal, medical and dental fields and family businesses. Alan joined the firm as a principal in January 2008 bringing his extensive experience in accounting, income tax preparation, estate and trust administration and financial consulting.

Alan has served as an office and director of the National Conference of Certified Public Accountants and as a director and committee chair of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants - Nassau Chapter. In addition, he has volunteered and held executive positions in various not-for-profit organizations.
